Most closely associated with Art-Deco era, it seems like the shagreen is making it's comeback now with furniture and accessories with this finish appearing in the shops. I do like it, however it is quiet a "luxurious" looking finish so even though it will look great in an elegant office or Mayfair apartment, it might not be everyone's new favorite trend. You might be able to sneak a little accessory now and there though without going for the total "posh" look. I especially love this lovely side table, but you already know I am a sucker for anything brass! What do you think, love it, hate it?
