neutrals
JULIE HILLMAN is an amazing designer based in NY and I really admire her style and ability to put together interiors that are all in one fashionable, livable and timeless. She uses a lot of neutrals in her projects, focusing on beautiful textures and sophisticated details. This project is no different, an incredible home in upstate New York with so much to see and admire. I really, really love this facade to start with, do you imagine coming back home every day and see this?

The wooden sculptures really add an interesting element to the space, an exotic touch mixed with carved chairs and soft curved sofa, I love the contrast.

Still a massive fan of framed fashion photographs so this rooms gets a huge thumbs up!!

How incredible is this dining room?? Pure perfection!!! (insert: heart eye emoji)

Again a mix of neutrals, whites with darker accents and a game of textures with those cozy rugs!!
I love the light in here too.

Looking at the river while reading your favorite book or hanging out with family and in addition, doing it in a fabulous house isn't it a dream? It doesn't hurt the house is in New Jersey (probably the worst nightmare of all real New Yorkers but I'll take it) and designed by talented interior designer Kati Curtis. It could definitely be a set for a super chic TV show, I love how the design and color schemes work perfectly through the whole space creating a cozy yet elegant and sleek family home!

Beige and grey are so often use in interior design they are often considered boring and used as a save solution. Although as proved by a lot of excellent designers, when used right as a mix of different textures and shades, they can really work beautifully. Ryan Korban is a great example of that, his interiors, often kept in neutral hues are NEVER boring. Here is a little selection of my recent favorite neutral home décor.

When you input "neutral" in the seach bar on Pinterest, there is an endless feed of spaces that I can only describe as very very boring-sorry Pinterest. And it's not because I am a big fan of colour and pattern, I just can't help but think they lack something special. I do appreciate a stylish minimalism and Scandinavian simplicity but the mix of bare walls, white bed linens and a low bed just doesn't do it for me.
So I found those beautiful neutral spaces, filled with textures and beautifully crafted furniture and kept in different shades of taupe, white, beige and grey tones and I couldn't love them more.
